I assumed you were trying to make your Vue an upscale looker, without going wild spending money, sorry. so it makes no sense not to start with an RL, and then do what nitrous, XRL, or myself did, make it your own, and MY RL gets 25 on the highway, I doubt that Iron 4 banger does anywhere near that, so the economy of a stick and that engine is a non issue. Sell it, and buy an RL, you are going to be tossing that kind of cash aroundĪnyway. Then if you don't like the look, why own a pig in a bowtie? Maybe I'm just calling them/searching for the wrong thing. Any ideas where to get the side skirts? I've never seen them up for sale. I've seen RL front and rear bumper covers on ebay, though only fronts right now it looks like. I have a black Vue, so not worried about the C pillar and it also has partial tint, though probably not as much as a true RL. Nothing special about the RL engine anyways, it's all cosmetic. Also, it was more about getting a stick than the engine, and as far as I know there's no way to do that with the V6 either. I don't think I'll be near $3-4000 + added fuel costs of the V6 in doing a conversion. I figure cost of parts I'm looking at $1500 or so and my bro will prob paint them for me for cheap (he's a body guy). For rear sway bar you really need design + material content and the Time Attack hardcore sway bars in chrome moly tube are lite weight and very effective.1.0 for most folks, 1.25 for auto x.check in with Josh or Sean at **** for pricing.Pretty doubtful since I got my 04 with 80k miles for $6000, and I've seen similar year with 100k miles on a RL for close to $10000. U-race it under car bars a lot of work but worth every bit of it, the strut brace is cosmetic, and Cabs with Alloy control arms are another home run. Ride and handling better than Eibach for sure. Pedders springs are also mighty fine, better spring rates about 10% stiffer than S/C and a different rising rate curve to TC springs. The TC strut is a direct replacement for the Redline strut, assuming you keep Redline diameter springs. To fit Cobalt springs to a redline a Cobalt top spring plate replaces the Ion one whichis larger in diameter, plus some modfications to stop plate interference the kit can be purchased from ****. I am not sure why folks are in love with Koni's they really dont have a very nice damping curve. Thank you for your recommendations I have a Notepad file I keep all this info on of all the upgrades I need to get lol. Just contact them via email, tell them you have the redline: and the package they send you is going to say VW GOLF.Ĭoppertop said they were 85 bucks shipped to him in Canada, and they have held up very nice. but maybe it was the injectors I got from him lol.įor endlinks I am going with: Ksport USA - Performance SuspensionĬoppertop was telling me about them. I do have a Front Strut Tower bar already, I bought from I want to say HondaEater on this board. I will most likely get with Coppertop during the summer / winter and get some of his products, I had recently talked to him about getting items made for the car. There was some modding you had to do to get the strut's to fit though.īut I kept seeing someone post something about buying a new strut tower top? (I cant recall now) said something like it was connected by 4 bolts it's originally for the Cobalts but would work on ours and then you wouldent have to modify anything to get the strut to fit in.ĭo you know anything about this, and where it might be purchased? I was reading past posts on here, and I seen that SS/TC Shocks and Struts they said they were using the Yellow Koni's. Yeah, the plan when I get back from California is the OTT - Rotated Trans mount for sure.
